1.Information we collect

• Voice recordings & microphone audio. When you choose to talk to Kokoro, we capture your microphone audio so it can be turned into a conversation and a meditation. The microphone is used only while you are in a voice session.
• Conversation & text content. The messages you speak or type, and the meditation content generated for you, are processed to create and personalize your meditation.
• Profile information you provide. The name or nickname you choose and the feelings or themes you share during onboarding. This is stored locally on your device.
• Sign in with Apple (optional). If you choose to sign in, Apple provides your name and an email address (which may be Apple's private "Hide My Email" relay) and a unique identifier. Sign-in is optional — the app's core features work without an account. This is stored locally on your device.
• Technical data. Basic information needed to run the service (app version, device/OS type, language/locale, request data) may be processed to operate and secure the app.

2.How we use your information

• To understand what you share and generate a personalized guided meditation (audio and text).
• To play back and, if you choose, save your meditations.
• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the app.
• To respond to your support requests and content reports.

3.Sharing with third-party AI and service providers

To create your meditation, your voice audio and/or conversation text is sent securely to the following providers, which process it on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information.

• ElevenLabs — voice audio and conversation text, for the real-time AI voice conversation (speech-to-text and the AI guide's spoken responses).
• OpenAI — conversation/text content (and audio for transcription), for the AI language model that writes your meditation and for voice transcription.
• Suno — text prompts derived from your session, for AI generation of the meditation audio.
• Apple — your Sign in with Apple identifier (only if you sign in), for authentication.
• Railway — request data in transit, for hosting our backend service.

These providers process your data under their own terms and privacy policies. We ask for your explicit consent in the app before any voice or text is sent to these AI providers. Our list of providers may change over time as we improve the app.

4.Where your data is stored

Your account, profile, and saved meditations are stored locally on your device. We do not maintain a server-side user account tied to your identity. Audio and text are transmitted to the providers above to generate your meditation and are handled by them according to their policies; we do not retain your voice recordings on our servers beyond what is needed to deliver the result.

5.Advertising and tracking

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not share your data with data brokers. The app contains no third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

6.Your choices and deleting your data

• Delete your account and data. In the app, go to the You tab and tap Delete account. This permanently removes your name, saved meditations, and Sign in with Apple credential from your device. Because your account is stored only on your device, this fully deletes it.
• Microphone. You can decline or revoke microphone access in iOS Settings and still use the text-based experience.
• Sign in with Apple. You can manage or stop using it in iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Sign in with Apple.
• Requests. To request deletion of any data we hold or ask a question, email us (see Contact). We respond within a reasonable time.

7.Children

Kokoro Mind is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8.Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

9.Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
